Paper Birds Anime Tattoo
An animation-inspired tattoo by Lake, with an expressive character portrait framed by layered paper birds and black and grey detail.
The composition
A character’s face looks out from a dense frame of folded paper birds. Pale angular shapes cross the darker background, creating movement around the central portrait.
The contrast between geometric paper shapes and softer facial detail gives the composition its focus. The photographs show how the small outlines and shaded sections work together across the design.
