Fine Line Lily Tattoo
A black and grey lily tattoo by Lake, with overlapping petals, curved stamens and fine botanical detail.
The composition
Overlapping lily petals fill this composition, with long stamens extending beyond the flowers. Thin contour lines describe the curled edges while soft grey shading separates one petal from the next.
The close views show the contrast between the pale petals, dark folds and small dots at the centre of the flowers. The design brings together a detailed floral subject and the delicate linework at the centre of Lake’s botanical portfolio.
